Chris has been programming since age seven: ZX Spectrums, graphical calculators, Commodore Amigas, PCs, and for the last twelve years, websites. It’s a healthy obsession. He built his first website in 1995 using Netscape 1.2, and has since built sites for almost everything: from banks, bread and builders to hats, hayfever and haemorrhoids. He’s been technical lead on one of Australia’s largest websites, HotFrog, now the world’s largest network of online business directories.
For the last eight years he’s focused on Microsoft technologies, and has gained the full alphabet of Microsoft certifications including MCP, MCTS and MCPD. His expertise includes web application architecture, object oriented design patterns, refactoring, security, continuous integration, performance analysis and optimisation, SEO, accessibility, usability, A/B split testing, and Agile development methodologies.
He now specialises in building large, high traffic, ASP.NET websites on these technologies:
